Seedance 2.5: Available now in IntelliStory

Thirty seconds in a single pass, native 4K, and up to 50 references guiding the shot. Seedance 2.5 is now available in IntelliStory, alongside every other model in your pipeline.

Most generative video still thinks in fragments. Five seconds here, another five there, then hours in an edit trying to convince a viewer they belong to the same scene.

Seedance 2.5 does not work that way, and as of today it is live in Spark IntelliStory.

Thirty seconds is a scene, not a clip

The headline number is thirty seconds in a single pass. That sounds incremental until you think about what fits inside it.

Five seconds buys you a moment. Thirty buys you an opening, a camera move, an action, and an ending beat that lands because the model understood it was building toward something. The pacing is decided during generation rather than reconstructed afterwards in the edit.

That is the difference between generating footage and generating a scene.

What the model brings

Native 4K output. Sharper detail where it actually gets scrutinised: product films, close-ups, launch assets, anything that will end up on a large screen with someone looking closely at it.

Up to 50 multimodal references. As many as 44 images, 3 videos and 3 audio files guiding a single generation. Enough to lock a character, a product, an environment, a movement style and a sound direction all at once, rather than describing them and hoping.

Audio generated with the shot. Sound arrives alongside the visuals, matched to the action on screen, instead of being sourced and synced as a separate job after the fact.

Region-level editing. Fix a label. Swap an object. Change part of a background. The rest of the clip stays exactly as it was, which means a small note no longer costs you the whole take.

Stronger prompt adherence. More of the composition, action and direction you described actually survives into the finished scene.

One workspace, every model

Here is the part that matters more than any single specification.

Seedance 2.5 does not arrive in IntelliStory as a replacement for what you were already using. It joins it. Build your characters, environments, products and keyframes with whichever image model suits the look you are chasing. Develop the visual direction with references and prompts. Then hand it to Seedance 2.5 for motion and sound.

A model is a tool, and no single tool is right for every stage of a project. Being able to reach for the right one at each step, inside one workspace and without rebuilding your pipeline around whichever model launched most recently, is worth considerably more than any exclusivity deal.

Mix models. Build worlds. Create your next masterpiece.

Where this lands

Film and TV production. Branded campaigns. Advertisements. Social content. Storyboards and pre-visualisation.

The common thread is intention. These are all cases where somebody has a clear idea of what the finished thing should be, and needs the tools to stop getting in the way of it. Longer generations, tighter reference control and edits that do not destroy the take are what move generative video from isolated clips toward scenes that can genuinely be directed.
